Yesterday I started working on a plan…a thousand day plan. Yes you heard me…one THOUSAND days.

One THOUSAND Days!
This past Father’s Day was my 5th one, but my first after having my son. Usually days like this make you remember the good ole times but for some reason, on this day there was no remembering. Read more…
Are you choosing freedom for now, or freedom for life?

1 scoop now or many scoops later?
About a month ago I was at the mall and my daughter wanted to go to the kids play area. My wife however wanted to take her to another store to buy shoes.  So we gave her the option: play now for “only a little bit” or play after shoe-shopping for “a longer time”.  My 4 year old daughter paused for a minute, considered her options, asked me to confirm that she’d still get to play “today” either way, and then to my surprise decided to maximize her play time by shoe-shopping now. I was amazed and proud. Those are all great, but for me, its the small things that motivate me even more. Read more…
There I said it! My logical blood cells are reproducing faster than normal lately so bear with me. I’m a front and middle tier software developer by trade, but in reality I’m paid to “think” about how people truly use software. This carries over to all parts of my life but I’ll leave that for another post. With this charter I’ve been thinking about MS Office, Google Docs and all other “office” type software. Read more…
While updating my About Me page, I realized something about myself that I hadn’t before. I realized that I’ve been successful at achieving my goals when they were BIG, but fail much more often when they weren’t. Read more…
As I mentioned before, I’m a mixed Hispanic who can barely speak Spanish. I should know the language since I had to take it for 4 yrs in high school growing up in Belize. Â But Belize is an English speaking country and is more “caribbean” than it is “central american”. At least the city I grew up in. I get grief about this ALL the time and have had a couple funny incidents because of this. Read more…
