Just Too Logical

Charles Godfrey

My name is Charles Godfrey and I’m a strange species. I’m what you’d get if you mixed a black, white, hispanic, and mayan dude, gave him a Computer Science degree and an overly logical brain. 

I was born in the tiny country of Belize where I was simply called “Chaalz“.  Just imagine Sean Paul trying to pronounce “Charles”.  Growing up I was that guy that was the “coolest nerd” or the “smartest jock”, which is probably just another way of saying I was average.  I moved to the US to finish college at WJU and have been working as a software developer in the Voice/Web Application space ever since.  I have a beautiful wife and 2 great kids.  Now I live in VA and am the proud owner of a house thats worth less than I owe on it.

As you probably can guess I love all things technology and sci-fi.  But I’m really a walking contradiction. I can go from crying from watching that scene in Armageddon where Bruce Willis gives his life so his daughther can have one of her own, to watching HDNet Fights where some guy gets his teeth knocked out. Whats wrong with me?

The big picture?  I love setting BIG goals and thinking BIG.  I rely on my ability to be logical, just and objective to guide most of my actions.  Now that I’m married with kids, I’m finding out that life’s journey requires a whole lot more.  Balancing these two (seemingly) opposing forces is my adventure.  Keep reading to see where it takes me.
