I’ve started working on a plan…a thousand day plan. Yes you heard me…one THOUSAND days.

One THOUSAND Days!
Lately I’ve been feeling like I need to make some changes in my life. Things are going fine, but I feel like I should be doing something “bigger”, something more “humantitarian”. During this reflection I realized that in about 1000 days I should become a US citizen (if everything goes smoothly). In about 1000 days (give or take) I’ll be 35…the age at which I plan to retire (yes thats another goal). In researching Graduate schools, I also realized that it would take about a 1000 days to get my Masters (again give or take a few weeks).
I want to be healthier, richer, happier, stronger and smarter, so I’m creating a 1000 day plan to really see how much I can transform myself and my life into something greater. 1000 days will be just long enough for the plan to effect meaningful, long-lasting change. To put it simply, I plan on practicing good traits for 1000 days until they become just normal habits; until it becomes so 2nd nature that eating a healthy breakfast or having a great work life balance is effortless.
I’ll be documenting my progress every few days or so on this blog over the next 1000 days. Feel free to comment as I attempt this. Maybe you’ve tried something similar? Got pointers? Lemme know! This wont be easy given that during this time there will be many distractions and obstacles (winters, holidays, unmotivated days) but hopefully I’ll be able to dig deep enough to find the will power to do this.
